At Vinyas, we believe in not just meeting industry standards but surpassing them. Our recent accomplishment of getting NADCAP accreditation for Electronics – Printed Board Assemblies, embodies this philosophy and signifies our unwavering commitment to quality, precision, and continuous improvement. This milestone is not just a badge of honour; it’s a reflection of the collective effort, strategic vision, and unwavering commitment of our entire team. As we proudly announce this accreditation, it’s essential to delve into the journey, the teamwork, and the dedication that brought us here, and to understand what it truly signifies for Vinyas’ future.
The journey toward NADCAP accreditation was a comprehensive transformation that required a strategic overhaul of our infrastructure, processes, and organizational mind-set. It was a path paved with innovation, investment, and an unwavering focus on excellence. The accreditation, issued by the Performance Review Institute (PRI), certifies our proficiency in aerospace-grade electronics manufacturing, specifically in “Electronics – Printed Board Assemblies.” This recognition places us among the elite in the global aerospace industry and reinforces our position as a trusted partner for mission-critical electronics manufacturing requirement.
Key Highlights of the Success Story:
Machinery Line-up
One of the most significant aspects of this journey was our commitment to infrastructure enhancement. Recognizing the stringent requirements of NADCAP, Vinyas invested in cutting-edge equipment during FY 2024-25. We installed high-precision Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines, vapour phase soldering stations, selective soldering equipment, and advanced cleaning systems capable of handling both aqueous and solvent-based processes. Our clean zones and conformal coating booths have further ensured contamination control in our shop floor. These investments were not merely about acquiring new machinery but about building a robust foundation for quality and precision.
Digitized Process Control, Traceability & IoT Monitoring
Recognizing the importance of traceability, process control and Industry 4.0 principles, Vinyas adopted digital workflows to enable seamless, paperless operations. These included in-process quality checks, IoT monitoring, and digital calibration logs, providing instant access to critical data via tablets, which reduced errors and enhanced efficiency. These IoT sensors which are strategically placed across the production floor, continuously monitor parameters like temperature and humidity, allowing for proactive adjustments and maintaining optimal conditions.
Additionally, traceability dashboards were implemented for audits and compliance, offering transparent visibility into every batch, component, and process. This real-time data collection and analytics has supported to follow smart manufacturing practices, ensuring consistent product quality and process stability.
Value Creation Process
Within the Value Creation Process, manufacturing capital was enhanced through the introduction of the centralized digital platform “Vinyastra,” which streamlined functions like Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Engineering Change Notice (ENC) management, and QMS document control, creating a paperless environment with quick access to essential documents. Additionally, Digital Work Stations were deployed to optimize workflows by providing operators real-time access to critical information, improving their knowledge and enabling faster, informed decision-making.
Skilling & Upskilling Highlights
Securing NADCAP accreditation was possible only because of our dedicated and highly skilled workforce and we are proud to have them in the team. Around 43 of our employees earned certifications across various IPC and J Standards which are key quality benchmarks vital to the electronics manufacturing sector. This milestone marked a significant step in our pursuit of achieving NADCAP accreditation, reflecting our team’s unwavering commitment to excellence.
We consider IPC certification a critical competency within our workforce, as it ensures that our personnel are trained to the latest global standards in electronics manufacturing processes and quality assurance. IPC-certified professionals possess validated expertise that directly contribute to consistent product reliability and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. This technical proficiency enhances process capability, minimizes non-conformities, improves yield, and promotes continuous improvement – collectively reinforcing our position as a high-reliability manufacturing partner and industry leader.
Training and Development Programs
In addition to certifications, we prioritized ongoing training and development programs. During the journey, over 95 training sessions were conducted covering topics such as manufacturing processes, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality awareness, all as part of our journey toward NADCAP accreditation. These programs aim to upskill our employees, and ensures higher quality, greater efficiency, and the ability to adapt to evolving technology. Our investment in people reflects our understanding that technology and infrastructure are only as effective as the skilled professionals operating them.
The culmination of these efforts was the achievement of NADCAP accreditation, a recognition that underscores our unwavering dedication to quality and process excellence specifically for the aerospace industry.
We haven’t just complied, we have raised the bar!
